We hope that groups internationally will join us on the 21st March to raise a kite to the sky and say no to weaponised drones.
Fly Kites Not Drones was inspired by the stories of the Afghan Peace Volunteers who say the beautiful blue skies of Afghanistan are now a fearful sight to children who no longer want to fly kites, due to fear of a drone strike.
The campaign is focused on the psychological impacts of weaponised drones which are now extensively used in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Gaza, Yeman, Mali and Somalia.

There is now an education pack which youth groups and schools can use in order to help children understand how drones work, and how it feels to live under drones.
We have worked hard to research and develop an easily made kite which will fly! Why not hold a workshop with some young people, and follow some of the suggested activities- also unbeatable fun for adults!

If you hold a kite flying event please let us know by sending a few photos and a brief description of what happened.
